Teaching Using Computer Based Assitive Technology & Tablet Apps

There is a vast and expanding array of assistive technology to build on individual strengths, act as a compensatory tool, gain motivation, provide opportunity for drill and practice while increasing students’ independence, motivation and success.

I am familiar and experienced using many of the growing number of adaptive programs, devices and apps. Many students are now daily using Chromebooks for text to voice, voice to text, writing and research support.

Which technology will work best with your child will depend on your child’s interest, experience, strengths and needs. I can introduce your child to free or minimal priced effective and enriching programs and apps that address reading, writing and numeracy challenges/strengths or provide stimulating interactive review and practice of concepts and skills taught.
