Spelling/Writing

Reading and writing are interdependent. Additional reading instruction will increase reading fluency and support increased development of writing skills. Writing is developmental and children do not develop their writing skills evenly from stage to stage. By identifying through observation and assessment of your child’s writing samples, I will provide a profile of your child’s interest, ability to write and developmental stage. Next step will be to develop effective writing strategies used by successful writers to increase the knowledge and skills your child needs to be a fluent writer at each writing stage.
